Milford Track & Routeburn Track
You could extend your Adventure South New Zealand hiking vacation by joining a guided walk on the Milford Track or Routeburn Track. Many of our clients use the Mountain Landscapes or Southern Alps Treks hiking tours to build up their hiking fitness before tackling these well known walking tracks.
Both our Mountain Landscapes (10 days) and Southern Alps Treks (7 days) feature some of New Zealand’s best trekking and mountain walking, and offer a mixture of remote untracked terrain coupled with friendly trails of a relaxed grade. These two tours both finish in Queenstown and will put you in good shape to tackle these world famous Great Walks.
Milford Track – a 5 day/4 night Queenstown to Queenstown guided walk through the heart of Fordland National Park to Milford Sound. The walk covers approx 53km/34 miles. The highest point on Day 3 is 1000m/3278ft.
Routeburn Track - 3 day/2 night Queenstown to Queenstown guided walk traversing New Zealand’s Southern Alps. The walk covers approx 38 kms/24 miles. The highest point is on Day 3 is 1300m/4264ft.
Prices start from NZD $1,690 for the Milford Track and NZD $1,050 for the Routeburn Track and these fully guided tours include accommodation in comfortable lodges.
